Things we need to work onDesign of pathways
ID 6976
Consideration should be given for people passing each other. This would include pedestrians with disabilities, including wheelchair users or those with a visual impairment using a cane or a guide dog and others. The pathways should be a minimum of 1800 mm wide without the need for passing places. Pathway design could include a raised edge on at least one side to be used as a tapping rail for someone with a visual impairment using a cane. Rest areas, with benches, could be provided along pathway routes.Peter Joyce

This area is poorly light and trees obstruct the light from the road. Either cut trees down or natal lighting. This area was subject to mugging and people avoid using it. Colin Hedley
